A goat is haunted in his woodland homestead by the arrival of giants who make him promises of wealth and a life of liberty. He and his family try every path to escape and keep their heads above water.
The adolescent Dear Boy, coming of age and into the workforce, finds himself enchanted by a pair of Big Hairy Legs who coerce and drive their heels deep in to his life, replacing its foundations from under his feet.
Like a dark fairy tale, the show explores the continuity of mass dispossession and state violence developed in medieval England that continues to rebound across the world, from Ireland in to North America and on to Gaza; the near-total destruction of the medieval world and the Cop City Atlanta being built on top of it.
The project in development makes use of lifelike, fantastical animal puppet creatures and Giant human appendages, as well as analog projection, natural soundscapes and liturgical music to create an intimate and desperate atmosphere.
