About
Tailored for ages 12 to 17, The Sanctuary for simple souls uses the poetry of miniature puppets, shadows, illusions, and video (both live and pre-recorded) to tell the philosophical journey of a teenager. Struggling with extreme loneliness and unsure how to find answers to her existential questions, this young woman encounters a non-binary, eccentric, and unconventional character. This surprising oracle helps her understand how friendship and trust can guide us toward finding the light.
The action takes place in a magical sanctuary, a surprising crossroads between a cemetery and a museum of extraordinary souls, where the stories of the dead reveal truths to the living. This creation aims to deeply move the audience’s senses, allowing the illusion of theater to nurture the philosophical reflection at the heart of the project.
