Description
Évelyne Pépin is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice lies at the intersection of illustration, puppetry, and storytelling. Her work explores sensitive and poetic worlds, where humor, adaptability, and imagination become driving forces for creation and dialogue.
Since 2023, she has been facilitating art hives at Café 440 (Sherbrooke), fostering accessible, collective, and caring creative spaces. In collaboration with Mélina Kerhoas, she is also developing the storytelling and puppetry project L’arrivée des opossums, a narrative work exploring themes of otherness, welcome, and solidarity.
Évelyne Pépin engages in cultural mediation activities at various festivals and has presented her work in an exhibition at the Maison de la culture de Racine, as well as in several group exhibitions at Jardin Racine. Her practice views art as a living space for encounters between the intimate and the collective.
Her approach questions the role of art as a vehicle for emotion, empathy, and social awareness, through a surreal and colorful universe. Each creation becomes a catalyst for dialogue—between the intimate and the collective, between the visible and the imaginary. Évelyne Pépin conceives art as a living space, capable of opening subtle, sensory ruptures within everyday life.
