© The Heretics of Bohemia is a darkly comic puppet show about a paranoid king, his mother, and their dysfunctional relationship. Set on the mythical Bohemian seacoast, the story follows the king's hallucinatory journey, as he encounters mysterious wanderers, messenger birds, invading armies, ancient rituals and fools, A large ensemble of puppets and actors bring this cosmic fairy tale to life. Please note: Intended for adults but suitable for youth 12+.

Description
Zach Fraser is a Montreal-based director, producer, actor, puppeteer, puppet maker and teacher. In 2021, he was appointed Artistic Director of Infinithéâtre.
Past directing projects with Infinithéâtre include Dominoes at the Crossroads, The Sighlence of Sky (META winner, Outstanding Indie Production), Omi Mouna, King of Canada and Love, Child. His award-winning Louis Riel: A Comic-Strip Stage Play based on Chester Brown’s graphic novel continues to tour occasionally across the country. Other directing credits include Indra’s Web (National Theatre School of Canada), Fifteen Dogs and Blindness (John Abbott College). The Water Chronicles, which he directed for Geordie Theatre, was awarded the 2020 META for Outstanding PACT Production.
Puppet designs include Vertip and The Heretics of Bohemia (Scapegoat Carnivale), Stars: Together (Crow’s Theatre), L’astéroïde B-612 (La Roulotte), MacBeth – Walking Shadows (Shakespeare in the Ruff), The Nisei & the Narnauks (Persephone Productions), and The Aeneid (Talisman Theatre).
Zach teaches mask, movement and puppetry at John Abbott College, the National Theatre School of Canada and occasionally with the specialized puppetry program at UQÀM.
Zach has been the president of the board of directors for AQM since 2022.
