Les effluves du pouvoir tells the story of a “good king”, a presiden in whom the world has placed great hopes…but who will slowly be corruped by the system he has decided to lead.
The King Stinks aims to make us laugh and horrify us at the same time. Through twisted puppets and an absurd overabundance of jargon and political speeches, the play becomes a distorting mirror of the world in which we live. In a world where politics is a circus show and where comic memes rub shoulders with horrific news stories, THE KING STINKS uses grotesque humour to address social issues.
Despite the abrasive humour of the production, there is a distinct reflection on the nature of revolution, social anger, and uprisings in society.
