About
cOsmO is an international co-production by creators from Núbila Teatro in Mexico City and Théatre Motus. Haydeé Boetto (Mexico) and Hélène Ducharme (Canada) had dreamt of a time when they could create, direct and perform a play for young audiences. So, in 2021, they embarked on a creative process, which culminated in a show opening in the fall of 2024.
Their creative process evolved through residencies in Canada and Mexico, enabling the design team to experiment, establish an interdisciplinary dialogue, and draw inspiration from cultural mediation workshops and trial performances for the target audience.
Summary :
A soft light seems to come from the beyond, two beings from the cosmos, two weavers of time. They create a world in the form of cocoons that awaken and discover an astounding universe filled with textures, sounds, and creatures large and small. In an original fusion of clowning and the poetic, these engaging characters take a fresh look at the elements of our world—air, water, earth, fire—and all that they contain. They do so by observing, having fun, and letting the world light up.
